Dr Zipp comes to Keats Library - Dan Carrier 31st May

31st May at 7.30pm

Journalist, Spurs fan, and sound-system wizard, DAN CARRIER talks to PIERS PLOWRIGHT about his new book of London stories:  DOCTOR ZIPP'S AMAZING OCTO-COM.

With readings by local actor CHRISTOPHER BENJAMIN

Dan Carrier, known to many of us as a hyperactive newspaper reporter working for the Camden New Journal, will introduce his new book “Doctor Zipp’s Amazing Octo-com”.

Dan will give us an insight into the life of a journalist who “doesn’t spend much time in the office”.  He meets amazing characters and listens to their stories.

His investigative work, for example, reveals how to keep a business going on a barge on a canal ,who stole vegetables from an allotment and how a car ended up in the men’s bathing pond on Hampstead Heath.

This book gives voice to eccentric Londoners, a magic collection of real life stories.

Tickets are £10 and available from Keats Community Library in person and by phone (020 7431 1266) and on line from
